Meet the FOUNDER

Mark whitaker

Mark grew up in the restaurant industry, beginning his career as a dishwasher at just 14 years old. Over time, he worked his way through nearly every position in the restaurant, from the kitchen to the floor, eventually rising to the role of general manager. This hands-on experience gave him a deep understanding of hospitality operations from the ground up.

With more than 20 years in the hospitality industry, Mark has built his career around creating memorable guest experiences and running efficient, high performing food and beverage operations.

Beyond the restaurant world, Mark has lived and worked in 16 different countries, gaining exposure to a wide range of industries, cultures, and business environments. Across all of these experiences, he has found that the most important ingredient for success is personal connection.

That philosophy is at the heart of Hot Totts. Even in fast-paced event environments where transactions happen quickly, Mark believes that hospitality and brand engagement should always come first. From the food to the service, every interaction should leave guests feeling welcomed, excited, and eager to return.

For Mark, Hot Totts is far more than a passion project. It is a concept grounded in decades of real hospitality experience and operational knowledge, and a venture he is deeply committed to building into a standout brand.
